Camillus Con, which is being hosted on July 16th in the Gordon Student Center at Onondaga Community College, is a convention for all types of nerds. Whether you love anime, video games, comic books, or anything in between, there will be something for you at this convention.
This year, Camillus Con is donating all its profits to ACR Health, a non-profit organization that provides support services to individuals with chronic disease and serious mental illnesses with the goal of positive outcomes. They are proud to be partnering with this organization to give back to the community.
They are also bringing great guests such as Michael Garland, a freelance comic book artist who has worked on “RoboCop” and “Big Trouble in Little China”. They will have several local vendors selling everything from cute handmade creations to beautiful illustrated artwork.
Every year, Camillus Con host various panels and events run by volunteers, staff, and guests of the convention. This year, there will be a Cosplay Contest with fantastic prizes, a Cosplay Dating Game event which is also a good time, and several other informative and fun panels.
Camillus Con is open for pre-registration and if you pre-register, you will only pay $5 at the door. To learn more about the convention, please visit their website at camilluscon.com
