Camillus Con 2016 Highlights

Camillus Con, an anime and nerd convention located at Onondaga Community College, hosted its fourth year on July 16th from 9am to 9pm. This year, the convention raised money for ACR Health, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those with chronic diseases and mental illnesses, and successfully did so by raising over $1000 for the organization. The convention featured several interesting panels ranging from topics such as Anime Trivia to Cosplay Sewing 101 to Quidditch 101. Their main events included the Cosplay Dating Game, where cosplayers act in-character on a bachelorette styled gameshow, and the Cosplay Contest. Infinity Con 2016 Highlights

Hosted in Lake George, NY, Infinity Con ran its second year this past weekend on July 9th and 10th packed full of memorable guests, a variety of vendors, and exciting events. Attendees of the convention were able to meet three former Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, two of the Comic Book Men, many beloved wrestlers, and several different famous cars from movies such as Ghost Busters, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, and more. All types of cosplayers came out to have fun and enter in the cosplay contest hosted on Sunday of the convention. Power Rangers debuted on August 28, 1993 and has caught the attention of millions of kids nationwide. The first season, Might Morphin Power Rangers (MMPR) was a show many of us Nerds loved. Whether it was the cool Megazords, the awesome fight scenes, or the weird-looking monsters they would battle, we loved Power Rangers. Outside of Syracuse: ColossalCon – The Vacation Convention

After many long months of winter in Syracuse, sometimes it’s nice to get away and go on vacation elsewhere. If you are a fan of anime, gaming, Japanese culture, and want to spend your weekend at a waterpark, ColossalCon is the convention you’ve been waiting for. ColossalCon takes place at the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio.
